Welcome to the Republican Association of Princeton (RAP) web site. The purpose of this portal is to provide information about Republican activities in the greater Princeton area.

RAP is a membership organization for promoting the principles and philosophy of the Grand Old Party at the grass roots level and to support local Republican candidates.  In addition, there are distinct, legally constituted and publicly elected, Republican political committees for each municipality. In Princeton, these are the Princeton Borough and Princeton Township Republican Committees.

RAP supports the Republican cause through memberships, voluntary contributions and social events, including a Lincoln Day Dinner. Funds raised by RAP are for local candidates and activities. RAP holds periodic meetings for organizational purposes and to hear outside speakers of local interest.

The Republican Party is a large tent for a wide range of viewpoints, but is dedicated to a basic set of principles.  At the local level, these principles translate into the empowerment of local residents rather than elected officials pursuing their own agendas, change in the torpid bureaucratic process, transparency in decision-making and fiscal responsibility.

We cordially invite everyone who supports the purposes of RAP to become a member and be personally involved. The annual membership fee is $35 for an individual, $50 for a family. To elect the best possible candidates, we need your volunteer effort and financial support to augment our candidates’ own hard work, resources and fund raising.

Please contact RAP with your ideas and comments.
